在週一中午時刻，Salazar開始了他自受傷後的第一次牛棚練投，而他宣稱感覺自己的感覺相當的好，看起來印地安人也的確需要Salazar快速復原，並頂上「三缺一」的先發輪值。
印地安人投手教練Mickey Callaway表示，這次Salazar大概是用75%的實戰強度來練投20球，感覺相當不錯，不僅有良好的運用下盤的力量，投出來的球質也很不錯，接下來就是看週二在球場上的練習如何了。
不過印地安人總教練Terry Francona對此事的處理仍很謹慎，他表示目前大家都知道最重要的是Salazar的身體健康，而這是急不來的，球隊不希望揠苗助長，不會為了戰績，而對子弟兵造成傷害。
