根據氣象局上午8時30分的海上及陸上颱風警報，梅姬在花蓮東南方220公里海面上，以每小時22公里轉18公里速度，向西北西移動，暴風圈正籠罩台灣東半部、台中、南投、高雄及屏東，對台灣各地及澎湖、金線上普通真錢輪盤四局打法門、馬祖構成威脅。
氣象局觀測，昨晚到今天上午，隨著颱風接近，東半部及北部風雨愈來愈明顯，宜蘭山區已有大豪雨，花東也有強降雨，花蓮已觀測到11級強陣風。
氣象局說，預計颱風中心午後將在花東交界處登陸，各地風雨會更強，各地最大陣風都可達9至10級，花蓮上看13至14級，傍晚著颱風中心出海，台灣風場轉西南風，西南部及南部雨量也會快速增加。1050927
